Fredrick Elliott Goldberg

Goldberg, Fredrick Elliott. Passed away peacefully on December 25, 2016 surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Lori. Cherished son of Andrea and the late Irving Goldberg. Loving and devoted brother of Rick and Yvonne Goldberg, and Julie Goldberg. He will be sadly missed by his nephew, nieces, family and many friends. Special thanks to Dr. Neil Berinstein and the wonderful staff at the Odette Cancer Centre at Sunnybrook HSC. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Steeles Memorial Chapel, 350 Steeles Ave. West, Thornhill. Interment to follow at Pardes Chaim Cemetery, Community section. Memorial donations may be made to the Sunnybrook /Dr Berinstein’s 416-480-4483 , c/o Odette Lymphoma Cancer Research

I have never met Fred, but I became friends with Lori through our gym. We talked about the incredible and painful journey that she and Fred faced, with support from loving family and friends, In all my years of nursing, I have never met a couple with more courage and dignity. I am so very sorry for Lori, and for their friends and family.

I cannot express how sad I am to learn of Fred's passing. I cannot recall how far back I knew him as I remember him as a kid and then the day I sat on the committee to screen him for his CRA designation. We spoke often. I referred him work and we would talk. My condolences to Lori, Andrea, his siblings, extended family and all who mourn. I am sorry that I cannot be at the funeral or shiva as I am out of the country. He was a truly good man and very hard working
