Fyodor “Fred” Jakob
It is with great sadness that the family of Fyodor “Fred” Jakob announces his untimely passing on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at the age of 67.  Fred was born on May 8, 1953 to Zoltan Jakob and Leah Sheinis in Mukachevo, Ukraine. After moving to Israel in 1978, he met the love of his life Lora and they married on March 27, 1980. In 1984, Fred and Lora, along with their new born son Eitan moved to Toronto and later, in 1988, they welcomed the birth of their daughter Leora.  Fred was a goldsmith by profession and sculpted beautiful jewellery by hand. He had a passion for his work and producing one of a kind pieces for his clients and family. Fred had a great sense of humour, lighthearted personality, and loved to make people around him laugh and feel joy.  He enjoyed making his famous potato salad and apple cake at every family occasion.  He will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father and brother, and always hardworking and dedicated to providing for his family.  Fred is now united with his father Zoltan, mother Leah, and brother Uri in heaven. Fred will be lovingly remembered by his wife Lora, two children Eitan and Leora, and all of his family and friends.  A small, private ceremony will be held on April 14, 2021 at Pardes Chaim in Maple, ON.
