Gail Cross

Gail Cross – Passed away November 22, 2020. Born July 7, 1933 in Badger, Newfoundland. Daughter of the late David & Goldie Cross and beloved sister to Trudy & the late Sidney Appleby, Harold & the late Toni Cross, and Rose & the late Leslie Cross. She will be missed by her nieces and nephews, Paula & Steve Weinberger, Mark & Cheryl Appleby, Steven & Terry Cross, Bayla & Gary Fortinsky & Cindy Cross and many great nieces and nephews. Thank you to her devoted caregiver Eva and the staff on the 7th floor at Baycrest. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association 416-363-3373.

I volunteered with Gail almost 20 years ago and every morning had lots of laughs. She inspired me to pursue a career in Gerontology something I continue to this day. It had been years since I’d seen her but thought of her often. My condolences to the entire family, she spoke highly of you all!

Dear Cross and Fortinsky Family, I was saddened, when Bayla told me that Gail had passed away. I extend my heartfelt sympathies, to you all. I had the pleasure of seeing Gail, over the years, at various of your family functions, but I will remember her most, from Bayla and Gary's year in Israel, when Gail and your Aunt Clara visited, for a few weeks. It was close to 30 years ago, but I still remember how much fun Gail was and what a great time we all had, the different times we got together, during that trip.
