Passed away peacefully at her home on August 25, 2024. Beloved sister of Larry and Debbie Cohen. Loving and devoted cousin of Lisa Gelman and her family, Greg and Tara Gelman, and special friend to Judy Shub, and Michael Lupton, and many friends and co-workers. She was employed by Gingers Bath for more then 30 years. Special thanks to her friend Doug Johnson for his care of Gayle’s pet Brandi.

Gayle you were so sweet to me and very funny and love that you came to our warehouse in Part and hung out to chat n drop off stuff for us. I'm really sad that you have to go. You will be really missed by everyone. I would miss helping you take things into your car and hearing stories about Brandy. You had a wonderful life here. Jamie and I have been lucky enough to know Gayle our entire lives. She joined Ginger's when we were kids and so our memory of her goes back for as long as we can remember. For that reason, she's always felt like family to us. Even as we grew into the business, our conversations with Gayle were almost always centred around family, upcoming holidays, current events, and life in general. We'll forever cherish those conversations as well as Gayle's infectious passion and curiosity. We'll miss her very much.

Gail always greeted me with a friendly smile, inquiring about my family and how everyone was doing. She took a genuine interest in her coworkers. Hello Everyone, Gayle (Gayley) was a special friend to me, we hung out played with brandy, I last visited her at Gingers Outlet last week and I still remember the big hug. She told me I had to lose more weight and I told her she needed to gain some. We agreed to trade, but she was taken from us to soon. Good Bye Gayley (Rest in Peace) Brandy and I will miss you. Gayle and I go back over 45 years when we met at the swimming pool of our apartment building through our parents. We did a lot together, we took our first cruise together, and I have very fond memories of our friendship. I am truly sorry to hear of Gayle's passing. We met 18 years ago at Gingers when we were designing the plumbing system for our house. Being such an outgoing person Gayle connected the dots and she realized that her first job in life was working in the fashion business for my aunt. She remembered every member of our family. Over the past 18years when ever I went to Gingers I sought her out and we always enjoyed shmoozing with each other. Always a smile , always lots of stories, Gayle was one of those people you always looked forward to seeing. Sending my condolences.

I knew Gayle for as long as she lived in toronto. We were very good friends but over the years we were strangers. I felt very bad to hear that she passed away. Gayle would often take on a grandma-like role to me. Our chats about our fur babies, her famous chicken soup and the latest gossip kept me light when I was having a hard time. She cared deeply about everyone and gave so much of herself to anyone she felt needed support or a friend. She was a social butterfly and a firecracker 🦋 Not having her colourful personality at work will be a difficult transition… My condolences to her family and neighbours, I know you feel the absence of such an amazing soul more than anyone. To Gayle’s family, I was very sorry to learn about her passing. I knew Gayle as a small child and reconnected with her about 18 years ago when we renovated our home. I would go into Ginger’s, sometimes with some of my kids in tow and she was always interested in talking to them and telling them how she knew me as a little girl. In recent years whenever I’d visit Gingers she’d want to hear about what my kids were up to and all about our grandkids and I felt that deep down she was ‘kvelling’ and having ‘nachas’ from it too.
