It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gloria Newman on October 4, 2023, at 86 years of age.  Gloria passed away peacefully in her home with her immediate family by her side. Daughter of the late Sarah and Eddie Solish, sister and brother-in-law to Fern and John Spencer and brother to Lorne Solish and his wife Andee Becker. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Jeff and Marla Newman. Loving Grammy to Gillian, Sarah and husband Darren. Special great aunt to her many nieces and nephews. Gloria will be remembered for her keen mind, her passion for the arts and theatre, and loyalty to family and friends. Special thanks to the Toronto Police Services Unit and the Toronto Ambulance workers and the Paramedics who performed their difficult roles with grace and dignity.
