Ms Conn changed many students’ lives at iths, I had her last year and she was one of the kindest teachers I ever had. She wanted us to be engaged in class and interact with other students, making us better readers, writers, thinkers, and a better person. The fishbowls, reading Hamlet, and performing the plays were unique, she cared about us succeeding in high school and life, helping us navigate our goals. Thank you so much Ms Conn for being an amazing teacher, you played an important role in our high school lives, my condolences to the family of Ms. Conn.

I was a student of Heather's from 2007 to 2009 and during those years of indignant youth i never truly understood Heather, both as a teacher and a person. With her passing and reflection I feel as though I understand her more deeply, Heather was both an extremely passionate teacher and extremely passionate about english Literature. That light of passion eventually reflected onto me where what I did commit to in my younger years I committed fully and with unwavering resolve. While I never really got the chance to thank her, I suppose this is my means of doing so now. Heather, from the bottom of my heart..thank you. Thank you for showing me just how brightly the fires of passion can truly burn. Rest my teacher and know your legacy will never been forgotten

Heather you were was such a beautiful friend. It was so strange when I saw you a year ago we passed each other on 95th Street, my corner with almost 34 years. I didn't tell you what on east side we r going to. I turned to l e v i, said oh my God we should have invited her to the east side she's going to love this lecture and I step back and I went to look for you. I could nt see you down 95 street going twds Columbus ave. . I've never done that before with you to turn back & find you. plus we were in our normal unfortunately our uws way. We did speak to u a few minutes. L e v i and I for 13 years three times a week quote you. When you said about our cat malech. If one person can bring him out its me. That you were able to understand me is incredible and a great side of me. I was always sorry about getting so frustrated about the transportation and we divided down to the solstice yoga event in times square so many years ago. Loved your laughter. In awe how you got Oz to let you do events and mje to honor you. Not easy. I'm so sorry I didn't know about your wedding that you moved to Boston. Lorne, I am saddened by the news. My sincerest condolences to both you and your newborn daughter on the devastating loss of your dear wife and her mother.

I used to organize staffing for "chessed weddings". The idea was that a couple who could not afford to make a wedding would have the entire cost covered and would be able to have a proper wedding despite not having the money for it. Part of how the cost was kept down was by having volunteers staff the kitchen and waiter the event. I organized a number of these, recruiting singles to do this staffing. Heather was a regular volunteer at these weddings giving her time and effort to make sure that the chosson and kallah could get married with dignity. Always done with a smile too. It pains me to hear the news and am so sorry for her family's loss. I hope her daughter sees this one day and knows how special her mother was. May her memory be a blessing.

I wish there were words to cushion the depths of pain and devastating loss of dear Heather, and words to do justice to Heather’s specialness, kindness, generosity, and light. Both beyond words. Heather was a huge source of inspiration and joy for many people. She was like the big sister I never had who always was involved in Chesed and making events happen. I hadn’t seen her in a year and I regret not checking in with her during her first year of marriage. I miss her terribly.

My sister Lisa was a close friend of Heather's for 15yrs. They met working on a project together as fellow English teachers in NYC. They shared so many wonderful experiences together. Lisa shared her joy with me as she anticipated her friends upcoming wedding last year. I feel blessed that my sister was touched by Heather's goodness & support throughout these years. She will forever remain in our ❤️ heart.

Heather was an extraordinary English teacher very passionate about Shakespeare literature. While I was working at infotech she was very helpful, outgoing, sweet and a great soul. I am in disbelief about his loss. May she rest in peace. Going too young and too soon. My condolences to her family and love ones.

Dear family of Heather, Heather and I attended the University of Michigan together and were in the same sorority. We reconnected recently when she moved to Toronto. We met for coffee and shared stories of the past and the present. After so many years being apart we shared that we were both teachers and we connected professionally. Heather and I had plans to reconnect and to get together. I wish her family long life and I am so happy that we took a picture together the day we met for coffee. I will treasure the picture and the memories for years to come.
