ZEMER, Helen – On Saturday, August 17, 2024 at North York General Hospital. Helen Zemer, beloved wife of the late Reuven. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Avital and Gili Zemer, Lavi Zemer, and Eylon Zemer and Odelia Gudge. Cherished Safta of Ori, Lev, Ben, Tatyana, and Khai.

Memorial Service Location: Steeles Memorial Chapel, 350 Steeles Ave., W., Thornhill.

Burial Service Location: Pardes Chaim Cemetery, Community section, 11818 Bathurst St., Richmond Hill.

Shiva Details: 85 Clovelly Ave., Toronto. Daily from 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm. Evening services at 8 pm. Concludes Friday morning, August 23rd.

Heartfelt condolences to the family. As a friend, I will miss Helen’s company, our talks and visits, which were a genuine source of comfort for me during Covid, during this year of conflict in our beloved Israel. Helen’s quiet courage throughout her treatment and her support as a friend were a source of inspiration. I was fortunate to have come to know her. May she rest in peace.

On behalf of the Badner family, i just want to tell you how sad it was to hear of this loss. My relationship with her was limited to be sure, but both her and Reuven were great supporters of their children and the love they had for basketball. I know both of them enjoyed watching their boys playing a game they loved. May her memory be a blessing

Judy and Hanoch Lan

Chaya and Reuvan were wonderful friends. We lived and laughed together on Kibbutz Negba. Chaya and I enjoyed being neighbors playing with our children in the green fields of beautiful Israel. We also left Israel days apart in 1991. Them to Toronto Us to Florida. I missed Reuven these past years and now I will miss Chaya. I am very sad. Her Memory is a Blessing. My memories of your mom and dad are beautiful. Boys (men) I send you hugs and love.
