It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Henry Krausman, age 92 years, on Friday, September 4, 2020.
Henry was born in Poland and endured several labour and concentration camps during WWII.  After the war, he came to America to reunite with his brother Jack, the only other surviving member of his family of 5 siblings.  He was later introduced to Lily, of blessed memory, his beloved wife of 55 years, and later moved to Toronto where he raised his children Michael and Fern.  He was a regular attendee of synagogue services and he was loved by all wherever he went.  He was a warm friend to many and his inspirational story of survival of the Holocaust has touched countless lives.  Henry spent his last extremely active 5 years at Viva Thornhill Woods Retirement Community, where he made many wonderful friends and felt as though he had found another family.
Henry is survived by his son Hazzan Michael (Laurel) Krausman, daughter Fern Krausman (Igal Har-Even), and grandchildren Orlee, Jordan, Zev and Zach.
He will be dearly missed.

Memorial donations may be made to the Association for the Soldiers of Israel Canada 416-783-3053.

The funeral service will be live-streamed at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 6th. Please go to https://smclive.ca/
