Peacefully, at North York General Hospital on December 9th, 2020, age 95, Holocaust survivor Howard Kleinberg cherished and celebrated every moment of his life since being liberated from Bergen Belsen, Germany on April 15, 1945. He leaves behind his precious wife and partner of 70 years, Nancy; beloved father and father-in-law to Bernie & Anna; Brian & Simmi; Marla & Jack Samuel; Ira and Mindy. Mourned by loving grandchildren Natalie Kleinberg, Joshua Kleinberg, Ariella & Dani Goldstein, Rabbi Effie & Tamar Kleinberg, Talya & Dave Apter, Eliana & Zach Husynni, Adam & Galit Samuel, Aryeh & Chana Samuel, Racheli & Koby Spiegel, Erin Kleinberg and Mickey Lungu, and Adam and Jackie Kleinberg. Blessed with several great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, numerous friends – young, old, Jewish, Gentile, religious, secular – who all adored, admired and respected him. Predeceased by his parents and 9 siblings. Howard had an irrepressible smile and a warmth to match.
