Hye Kirshenbaum

Loving husband, father, father in law and grandfather. In his 100th year. He will be missed and lovingly remembered by Gloria, his loving wife of 70 years; his children, Paula and Mark Mandel, Michael and Stacey Kirshenbaum. He was a wonderful Zaide to Alena and Gideon Berger, Mira Mandel and Gabriel Delorme, Jeremy and Jenna Kirshenbaum, Ryan Kirshenbaum and Samantha Kirshenbaum and super great Zaide to Noah Berger. And to a wide circle of family and friends, Hye will be deeply missed.

Memorial donations may be made to the Association for the Soldiers of Israel https://www.asicanada.org/.

The funeral service will be live-streamed. Please go to smclive.ca on Wednesday, February 10th, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.

Hye was a lifelong friend of my uncle, Louis Soberman. At Louis' shiva, Hye said that he had known Louis for a longer length of time than Louis' own parents did. Growing up, I remember my grandparents and Louis speak of him often. Hye was a very pleasant and friendly man.

Uncle Hye was such a warm, gentle and caring man. Whenever I think of him I'm reminded of that famous Kirshenbaum smile that would light up his entire face. I always loved seeing him from the time I was a little kid all they way into adulthood. He had such a welcoming way about him that you felt at ease in his presence. From one Kirshy to another, I love you and I will miss you. To his children and grandchildren may God console you among the other mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.
