Hykie Ballett, passed away on September 2, 2024, in her hometown of Toronto, Ontario. She was born on July 12, 1934, and leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and determination that will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Hykie was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family meant everything to her, and she poured her heart and soul into nurturing and supporting each and every one of them. She is survived by her sister, Etty Danzig, her children Sondra Black, Ila Berman, and Lorne Berman, her grandchildren Josh and Danielle Black, Adam and Shelby Black, Michael and Michelle Starr, Rachel Berman and Isaac Berman and her great-grandchildren Clark, Madison, Parker, Trystan, and Dean. She also leaves behind her daughter-in-laws Deborah Gold and Mona El Khafif, and her son-in-law Peter Mifsud. Also adored by all her nieces and nephews.

Hykie was a fiercely independent woman who blazed her own trail in life. She was a highly successful career woman, making her mark as a physiotherapist and Director of Rehabilitation. Her dedication to her work and her patients was unwavering, and she touched countless lives with her compassion and expertise.

The loss of Hykie will be deeply felt by all who knew her. Her family and friends will remember her as a pillar of strength, a source of wisdom, and a beacon of love. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

Hykie’s presence in this world will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to inspire and guide those who were fortunate enough to have known her. May she rest in peace, and may her memory be a blessing to all who mourn her passing.
