In Loving Memory of Irving (Irv) Rayman
September 5, 1942 – July 26, 2025
With heavy hearts, we share that Irv Rayman, devoted husband of 58 years to Toby; loyal and loving father to Lana and Jared and their spouses, Eric and Christine; cherished brother to Fred and sister-in-law Sally; beloved Zaidy to Ryan, Lilly, Mya, and Ruben; and a committed partner, leader, and friend, passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 26, after a long and courageous battle with dementia, cancer, heart disease, liver failure, and diabetes.Despite the many health challenges he faced, Irv remained full of warmth kindness and good spirits until the very end. He was an accomplished Architect and past President of the Ontario Association of Architects.  He was a Lifetime Fellow of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada, and Recipient of the Order Of DaVinci, the highest honour given to Architects in Ontario for his service to the profession. For his leadership in passing the Architects Act in 1984 Rayman/Architects was awarded Certificate of Practice 0001.

He lived an extraordinary life filled with the love of family, friends and a passion for his work. In his last year he found joy in the simple pleasures, like his love of sweets looking photos of his family. Each photo a window into the cherished memories of family trips around the world. Of all the places he traveled, two held the most special place in his heart: Snowmass and Disney World.

We will miss him deeply, but we carry his love, strength, and spirit with us always.
