Irving Starr
Irv was born in Toronto on January 28, 1927, to Sylvia and Sol Starr. He was the older brother of Jerry and Lynne Starr. Irv married Dorene (Doe Doe) on June 10, 1956, and they lived very much in love until her passing two years ago. Irv had four children: Jeffrey Starr, Shelly Starr, Debbie Horowitz (Allan), and Shauna Dronek (Steve). He adored his grandchildren: Joshua, Jennifer,
Jordan, Jake, Samantha, Zak, and Nick; and his great-grandchildren: Georgia, Blake, Cooper, Emma, Ethan, Ava, and Ari. Of course, he loved his family, but he also loved playing tennis—when it
wasn’t too hot, too cold, or too windy. He was a wonderful artist who could sketch, paint, or draw anything—when it wasn’t too bright or too dark in the room. His mind remained sharp, and his memory was strong right until the end. His clothes had to be just right, and they always were. He was a very special, talented, and gifted man, and he will be missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
