Isabelle Judith Leibovitch of Toronto, Ontario died peacefully on July 16, 2021 at the age of 82 to join her loving husband Joseph Leibovitch who passed in 2010. They had such a wonderful life together and are now together again. She was retired in Toronto and living in the Apotex at Baycrest Health Sciences Centre. Born in Montreal, Quebec she and her family moved to Toronto in 1977. She graduated from Concordia University and McGill University and had a long career as an English and Theatre Arts teacher. As a drama teacher, she loved directing plays – two of her favourite plays were You Can’t Take it With You and Valley of the Dills (a parody). In addition to spending time with family, she loved to playbridge, mah jong, and go square dancing. She will be forever loved and missed by her sisters-in-law Adele (Eric deceased), and Roz (Eddie); her sons and daughters-in-law, Sam and Tara, Earl (deceased) and Cathy, and Farrell and Kerri; and grandchildren, Emily, Jadin, Jonathan, Kirk (Daniella), Laura, Marli, Narissa, Reene (deceased), Sarah, Taryna; and great-grandchildren, Angelina, Tiana, Kira, Garion. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, attendance will be limited to invitation only, and livestream of the funeral will be available at smclive.ca.
