It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather Jack Baker on September 16th, 2023, surrounded by his family. Jack was the devoted husband of Esther z”l for more than 66 years. Loving father and father-in-law of Brian & Josée, Gail & Sandy, Shelley & Gary. Adored Zaidy to Alida & Jose, Kahlil & Bertine, Daniel & Jill, Elijah, Noah & Orit, Jayme & Jordan, Seth & Gili, Devin & Larissa. Cherished Great-Zaidy to Emmanuel, Kiara, Oliver, Brielle, Chloe, Aria, Orly, Ben, Leander, Maya, Rey and Janosch. Jack was deeply loved by his late siblings Gert & Al Abel, Dorothy & Morrie Solar, Sam & Eleanor Baker, and Saul Baker. Fondly remembered by his siblings-in-law Connie Baker, Gert Rogers, Yetta and Saul Kendal.  He was a “jack of all trades”, a “jokester” and devoted community volunteer at Baycrest for over 60 years where he made an unforgettable impact on all who knew him. His goal was to make people smile and laugh, and this will be his lasting legacy.
