My dear cousin Ian & Steven and your immediate and extended families My lovely, wonderful, full of life Uncle , Frank Sinatra imitator has joined my Aunt Edith so that they may continue the love affair they started in Toronto. He worked hard all his life, was stubborn in a good way, would go out of his way for his "Family" where ever they were and was proud of his heritage. Everyone near Dundas& Spadina knew my Uncle Jack. His life really started when he met and married my new Aunt Edith along with her children. Our family grew by 4 and how great it was to have them with us for all the simchas and passover meals on Dundas Street ; we were all packed in but we loved it. He would take me anywhere and when my back went out he and Aunt Edith took care of me; while my parents were in Miami. We had a special bond between nephew and Uncle and it was shared with my sister, Mom and Dad. He was the last of his brother and sisters a family of 8 . The last time I saw him ( a few years ago) at his wife's Unveiling he was sharp as ever, stood tall and gave me a big hug and kiss; until next time Uncle Jack I love you. Ian / Steven you grew up with very special parents and their legacy lives on in each of you. May all the good times you had with him bring you tears of joy , and may you pass onto your children and grand-children those special memories of your Dad and Mom. Your cousin Steven Kates
