It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, James (Jim) Lederman. He passed away peacefully on 18 Shevat 5784 (Jan 28th. 2024).

A journalist, researcher and analyst, Jim dedicated his life to researching Israel’s geopolitical place in the Middle East and it’s fight for survival while trying to find itself amongst the worlds top nations, as a home for the Jewish people. Outside of work, Jim enjoyed experimenting with world cuisines while maintaining a Kosher kitchen. His creativity was enjoyed by many who sat at his table.

He is survived by his wife Miriam, Children Shai and wife Jenny, Rachel and husband Ze’ev, Micha, David and wife Naomi, grandchildren Kayla, Yonatan and Amaya, his sister Dinah and her children Steve and Miriam and their families.

Memorial donations may be made to the Association for the Soldiers of Israel (https://www.asicanada.org/) and the Jewish National Fund (https://jnf.ca/).
