Stephanie, Daniel and Tracy and family: I am so saddened by your loss. A mother is a very precious person in anyone's life, no matter the age. I pray that your memories will sustain you through the years. May you be comforted with all the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem and know no more sorrow. I will try my best to make it to the shiva. Your mother's Neshama should have an aliyah in Shomayim.

The following words are paraphrased from my graveside eulogy to my wonderful, beautiful Aunt Janice. My Aunt Janice was the Jewish version of Jacquie O. She had an impeccable sense of style and beauty. When Martha Stewart was still in utero, my Aunt Janice was THE Martha Stewart of Temple Sinai, hands down. No one, but no one, could set a table, make Boston baked beans, decorate, garden, bake and throw a party like my Aunt Janice. No one. My Aunt Janice taught me about Depression Glass, Wedgewood, copper pots and pans, place settings, and the joy of sourcing dinner napkins that matched plates. While the rest of us were ladelled soup from a pot, my Aunt Janice ladelled soup from a soup tureen. When my husband and I went to France and visited local Patisseries, I noticed each bake shop cooled their brioches, breads and other baked goods in their baker's racks. THEY
