Dearest Syril, Jerome and Linda, Erle and Miriam, Mandy and Larry, Shareen and Jaykee, and families: The hole in your hearts must be so deep. How does one cope with the loss of someone who has earned herself a role so pivotal, so central to each of your lives? There truly are no words other than Baruch Dayan HaEmet. Phyllise and I have been the beneficiaries of Jeanette’s warmth and wisdom, kindness and counsel for many years. Her sincerity, empathy, generosity of spirit and Menschlechkeit earned our admiration long ago …. which makes her loss so very sad and painful -- how much more so for you, experiencing the loss of your Matriarch. To My darling uncle Syril. Earle Mandy Shareen. and all the Karp Romi Barbarny and Heyman grandchildren My heart is broken for all of you . Syril I know you have lost everything because Jeanette was your everything . You lived for each other and loved each other deeply . You were an inspiration to all who knew and loved you . She went first to be there to welcome you in Gan Eiden .When Hashem is ready to take you to get in the arms of his angels It’s awful being so far away from you . I wish U could be there to help you all through this terribly sad time in your lives . I will always remember the special times I shared with you and Jeanette in Pretoria in my early teenage years . We always went on special diets together . It was crazy but I loved being with her and she always spoilt me rotten . You were both my two bookends when I made a difficult change in my life . You stood by me and loved me when I was rejected by so many It was You and Jeanette that brought them back to reality and the acceptance of loving me no matter who or what I was . You both went far and beyond for me .I Thank GD for having you in my life without you. and your help I don’t know what would have happened Stay strong Syril . Broken hearts will always go on beating . She was always with you and she is with you still. My cousins Earle Many and Shareen Your family tree has lost a huge branch . And there is one brighter star in heaven. Your mom taught you many lessons . To give , to forgive and to respect everyone who passed through your lives . She shot from the hip with honesty and integrity and she loved you with her whole heart. I’m sending big arms to hug you . I wish you strength during this awful time in your lives . You will miss her every single day in your lives .But missing her brings you closer to her and her beautiful memory I will miss her too in many many ways She fought a good fight but hashem needed her in heaven .May her memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved her and MHDSRIP.
