Elisheva and your beautiful little girl and to the Kaplan family: My heart is broken for your loss. I just saw Yakov at the library not that long ago and then saw you and your beautiful little girl...who I know was the apple of her father's eye. We all will be with you to do whatever we can to be there for you but this new journey of yours, Elisheva, will be a very difficult one. You beloved Yaakov will always be there with you...his outer shell will be gone but his loving Neshama will always be available with great love that will transcend this world. May Hashem help you and may your memories help to sustain you. May you be comforted with all the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem and know no more sorrow. All my Love, Janice Lebow

We extend our deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the family. May you find peace and strength and not know any further sorrow. From a personal experience I greatly appreciated Jeff’s gentle and warm hearted admiration of our children and his warm greetings every time I saw him. May his memory be a blessing.

Dear Kaplan Family, I'm so sad to learn of Jeffrey's passing. Although it's been years since we last connected, I do have special memories of our trips to Toronto from Montreal to visit The Kaplans. Jeffrey was soft spoken and always very welcoming. I hope your fondest memories of Jeffrey help comfort you during this very difficult time.

Dear Kaplan family and Jeffrey's wife and daughter, I was shocked and extremely saddened to read of Jeffrey's passing. When I first came to Toronto, your parents were a comforting anchor and included me in numerous shabbat dinners in which Jeffrey and Alan attended. Jeffrey was always so quiet and gentle. May fond memories of Jeffrey comfort you during this difficult time and in the days to follow. Wishing you much strength. Cindy

I worked with Jeff many years ago and I hadn't seen him in a few years but one thing I'll never forget is his big smile and his humor. Jeff had a big heart and he did everything with passion and he loved to eat! Rest peacefully my friend and may God be with your family. I will miss you!
