On August 14, 2022, we lost not only our mother, mother-in-law, Bubbie, great-Bubbie, and friend, we also lost a Holocaust survivor. Jennie Kochman passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones. Beloved wife of the late Sam. Loving and devoted mother of Charles and Irvin, mother-in-law of Melanie. Cherished Bubbie of Lisa (Brian) and Miriam. Proud great-Bubbie to Joshua and Megan. She is already greatly missed by all her family and friends.

Memorial donations may be made to Mackenzie Health Foundation 905-883-2032, Beit Halochem Canada, Aid to Disabled Veterans of Israel 905-695-0611 or Charity of your choice.

The family will be observing Shiva at 1500 Steeles Ave. W. (Four Elms Retirement Residence), Thornhill, L4J 4H6. As parking is limited, please park across the street at 1881 Steeles Ave. W. (Shoppers Drug Mart plaza). COVID-19 protocols must be observed at all times. Please see reception upon entry. Shiva visits Tuesday immediately following the interment to 4:00 p.m., and Wednesday and Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Dear Chuck and Irv and Melanie and family Nancy and I grew up alongside your family, and I had the pleasure of knowing your mother and father very well. They were the kindest and warmest "relatives" we ever had. Your mother was famous for her amazing kreplach, which we all devoured. Our hearts are with you. We understand your loss and wish you comfort in her beautiful memories.

Growing up along side you, and working directly with your mom in "the store", there was not one single time I was with her that she didn't have a wonderful thing to say about "my Charles" or "my Irvin".
