Jeremy Ian Salzman, born May 12, 1977 passed away suddenly at his home on September 14, 2019. Beloved son of Harvey Salzman & Judy Pereira. Step son of Fran Salzman & Al Pereira. Brother to Eden (Anthony), Shawn, Amanda & step brother, Arthure. Uncle to Quentin, Austin, Ace & Axel. He will be missed by many extended family members. Memorial donations may be made to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation 416-920-5035 or CAMH 416-979-6909. Shiva will be observed privately.

I worked with him on a film and recall what a loving, kind, young man he was. He had a wonderful smile and a great sense of humor. It was great to spend that time with him.

I can't believe my friend is gone. Jeremy was a very special person and one of the funniest, wittiest, creative and loyal guys I have known. Jeremy had a fond love for the Yorkville Village! We are sorry for your loss. Jeremy was very kind to my daughter, Kathleen. Kathleen has a chromosomal translocation and this makes academic learning difficult. Jeremy took Kathleen as a volunteer. She walked with Jeremy for over 6 months. With Jeremy’s guidance and support, Kathleen has her own successful business. Jeremy was also a kind friend who made Kathleen laugh. Jeremy changed her life and we are grateful to him.

I can’t believe I’m finding this out 1 year after he passed. Jeremy played a pivotal role in helping me transition from an Animator to and Advertising Art-Director. He introduced me to Neil McOstrich (the Creative Director & Co-Founder of Cleansheet Communications, Toronto). Jeremy was one of Neil’s first employees at Cleansheet. I still remember what he told me when I showed him my portfolio, “Your portfolio is shit! But then again that could because I’m Jewish, and skeptical and think everyone is shit”. Irrespective, his word inspired me to be a better creative. Jeremy - Rest In Peace my friend - you will be missed!
