It is with our deepest sorrow that we announce the death of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother at the age of 90, on Thursday, November 28, 2024. She is predeceased by her parents Jack and Lily Fishman and her brother Benny, all of Calgary. She is also survived by her brother Sam Fishman and her dear sister-in-law, Rosa Fishman. Our mom and our dad Julius, were the proud parents of Michael (Judy), Howard, Mark (Paula) and Robbie (Bonnie); the beloved grandparents of Erin, Jeremy (Ali), Stephanie (Daniel) and Jason (Shira); Alicia (Jared), Kaila (Nate) and Mat; Shail (Annie Claude), Cory (Hannah) and Bret (Christina); and Jordan and Russell and the cherished great-grandparents of Ari and Josh; Ethan and Madelyn; Brooke and Logan; Jonah and Eli: Sawyer and Hayden; Abigail, Philip and Pearl; Goldie, Barry and Sonny; and Weslley.

Our hearts are broken.

I remember Jessie from her involvement at Adath Israel. She was such a warm, lovely woman. I'm sorry to hear of her passing. I have a lot of photos of Jessie from Sisterhood if any of the family would like to have a copy.

Yayna,(Julie ) was the first cousin of my late father, Nathan Silver. Jessie was such a pretty , sweet ,gentle woman .. when we were kids, on Sundays Jessie and Yayna used to bring their 4 adorable Silver boys to visit the 5 Silver kids on Claxton Blvd. when we lived with our Bubbie Freda. Our late mother, Mary, was so fond of Jessie and of course they had a great deal in common ..both having lots of kids and both married to strong -minded “Silver “ spouses. What a beautiful family Jessie produced . May your mother’s memory be as a blessing. I am left with such fond memories . Thinking of you at this difficult time.
