Benny And the entire Ber family. Barouch Dayan haemet He was iconic he looked like a star out of Grease but most of all he was a real nice guy . The memories of cedarcroft the drives to Newtonbrook in the pouring rain in that iconic car . That’s what most of us 80’s kids will always remember. Dear Zina and Family. Our deepest condolences on your loss of Jimmy. I don't hink Jimmy would like to be remembered with sadness. He lived for the laughs. Not every person can rule two kingdoms. First, he was the King of Kensington in his youth, but then in retirement he ruled the Promenade. Who could ever walk by the food court and not be stopped by Jimmy to tell you a joke or insult you, both were met with laughter. He was one of a kind. Coming to Canada after the war and making a life and spreading laughter wherever he went. Elvis has truly left the building. We will miss but never forget Jimmy.

Dear Zina and Family, We had just learned of the passing of your beloved husband Jim. Words cannot describe how we feel about the man, that we have known for a better part of our lives. Our families came together from a worn torn and bloodied Europe, and arrived in Toronto to seek out a better tomorrow for themselves and their children. Jimmy as we called him, was a kibbitzer, who always had a joke to tell, and was a good and dear friend to many. There is just too much to say, and the memories that we have, are always happy and good ones. We are forever grateful for them and for the man who was our friend. He will be missed not only by ourselves, but by the many who hand come to know him during his lifetime. Everyone I am sure will have "their special" memories that they will cherish. We hope that you and your family and the Ber family who all now mourn him, will take the memories that you have all made together, and let them now help you through these days of your sorrow.
