Green, Jimmy (James). On Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at Baycrest Hospital in his 93rd year. Holocaust survivor. Beloved husband of the late Katherine. Loving father and father-in-law of Mary and Fred Goldberg, Sidney and Simmy Green. Adored brother-in-law of the late Karchi and Rosi Katz. Devoted grandfather of Bonnie and Adam, Jay and Amy, Justin and Amy, Dylan and Montana, and Taryn. Cherished great-grandfather of Arly, Ethan, Coby, Remy, and Lev. Special thanks to Julie and his other devoted caregivers. Funeral service will be held at Steeles Memorial Chapel, 350 Steeles Ave. West, Thornhill on Friday, November 11, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. Interment to follow at B’nai Torah section of Pardes Shalom Cemetery.If desired, memorial donations may be made to Baycrest Foundation (416) 785-2875 www.baycrest.org/donate or a charity of your choice.

Dear families of the late Jimmy Green. Our heartfelt condolences of the passing of Jimmy. He was a very good friend to us. We met him and Kati in Sunrise, Florida where we were neighbours in the same condo complex along with many other Hungarians. Jimmy was the jokester amongst us. Always telling us jokes and funnly stories (sometimes off colour) but always making everyone laugh. Jimmy was also always the first one to help you or offer advise if someone needed it. He was a great friend and a loving man. He loved and cared for his family. He was always there for Kati and adored his children. He was a doting grandfather and great grandfather. Jimmy will be sadly missed by everyone whos lives he touched and who knew him. May all the wonderful memories you have give you strenght during this difficult time. May his memory be for a blessing. We are sorry we are unable to attend the funeral for Jimmy. Our hearts go out to Mary, Sid, Jimmy's grand children and great grandchildren. He touched so many hearts with his warmth and good humor. He and Katie endeared themselves to Joel and Roger when they first met him in Hamilton in 1949. We will surely miss him; may his memory be for a blessing. Joel and Nancy Kay

I have very fond memories of your dad sitting in the mall with his friends and will never forget how Jimmy and Itsu came twice a day to lead the shiva for my dad Jack Katzberg totally out of kindness.
