Dear Allan, how sad we are to write again so soon to express our sorrowful feelings at the passing of your dear brother, Jonathan. How I (Harvey) used to enjoy sitting beside him in shul and davening together. (I wish I had his kavannah.) Every time we visit with your children and grandchildren in Efrat, I think of him and his angelic smile. The world will definitely continue a poorer place for him not being with us any more. May you have comfort in the pleasant memories you have of him. Harvey & Miriam

Allan, what a sad week for you and your family. Although I only knew your mother when I was a child, I was still aware that she, a Holocaust survivor like my parents, had physical and emotional strength and resilience beyond what was the norm. Yannusku, as your mother called him was beyond cute. I hope you get nechama and your sense of loss is minimized by the fact that your mother and brother were parted for such a short and that they are now reunited with your father in Gan Eden.
