Judi Fischbach, passed peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family on September 21, 2025. Devoted wife to Andre, wonderful mother to Jay (Simone) and Michelle (Geoff), loving and proud Bubbie to Jared, Zoe, Emma, and Katie, beloved sister to Cheryl (Neil), dear aunt to Jeff (Lisa) and Jen (Matt), and cherished friend to many. She had a gentle and nurturing soul, and she will be incredibly missed.

Yahrzeit Day: 28 Elul

Date of Funeral: Monday, September 22, 2025

Time of Funeral: 12:00 PM

Memorial Service Location: Graveside service

Burial Service Location: Pardes Chaim Cemetery, Community section, 11818 Bathurst St., Maple, ON (Bathurst/Gamble)

Shiva Details: Immediately after the service family and friends are invited back to the family home. Visits to the family will continue Thursday 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Friday 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

From having Andre as my high school basketball coach, I got to know all of you and spend time with you over the last 40 years. I am so sorry for your loss. Judi was my first cousin. My mother and Benny were brother and sister. Although I haven’t seen Judi in many years, we emailed every year around St. Patrick’s Day, Uncle Benny’s birthday. She would tell me about her children and grandbabies. She was so proud of her family. We were lucky, as kids growing up we would get together often. Judi and I would talk about our memories of those days. Some funny, others sad. My sincere condolences to the Fischbach family. My longtime neighbours through my entire childhood. Judi was very warm and thoughtful. I have many fond memories of her and how well she treated me. She knew me as a baby and even saw me get married. As a kid, I would never escape an interaction without my chubby cheeks getting squeezed or kissed. I will sorely miss her.

Judi and I had a long youthful past together, both through our parents who were friends, through living in the same neighbourhood and through attending schoo,l hebrew school and camp together. Though we had little contact in later years, we still called each other on our birthdays which were two days apart. I will miss you my friend. My condolences to your family.
