Foldy, Judy (Juci / Nanny) at Toronto General Hospital on November 9, 2020. Judy, devoted wife of the late Stephen, loving partner to Armin. Beloved mother of Peter, Katy & Robbie. Cherished grandmother of Amy and Brett z’l, Michael and Jordana and Jody and Lenny. Devoted great grandmother of Lucas, Shai, Mateo, Leila and Noah. Missed by relatives in Budapest, Hungary and Sydney, Australia. Judy was a Holocaust survivor who lived a full life dedicated to family and friends. She was a woman of indomitable spirit – always giving, always sharing, expecting nothing in return. A note of gratitude to Latifa, Susan & Elvira for their love and care. Internment Beth Tzedec Memorial Park. Due to COVID a private shiva will be observed. I was fortunate to have known “Nanny” back in the 90s. She was madly in love with her grandchildren and they felt the same way about her. She was like a third Bubbie to me and I was very lucky to have known her all those years. My heart goes out to the entire family.

I have had the utmost pleasure of knowing Judy since the late 70's when I became friends with Peter in Toronto...and always looked forward to seeing her, especially when I moved to Los Angeles and Judy would visit with Peter. Judy Foldy was an elegant woman of style and grace with the biggest of heart. I felt a kinship to her and always loved hearing of her adventures through Peter...she was resilient...of strong spirit...a true survivor. I will miss her as we all will though her heart will live on. Love to all the family - how wonderful that you all got to have a mother like Judy in your lives...you are indeed blessed.

Dear Peter Today I called you as I was away until now since your dearest mother died and I didn't want to disturb you just tell you that I felt so so sad reading that your dear mother passed away. When my dear father was with her suddenly I felt that I have a mother again By the way I knew that for a long time you are into music and singing and that is great that what I do also everyday.
