On Thursday, May 24, 2018, Karen Liberman passed away surrounded by the friends and family she adored and who adored her.

She has left behind her life-partner and dear friend David Goldman, her two loving children Elana Liberman (Jonathan McDade) and Jordan Liberman (Ann Marie Liberman), her precious grandsons, Ethan and Noah Karabanow, and Strachan Liberman, and her family by love Hartt and Barb and Mac and Gemma Goldman.

She will be sadly missed by her sister/best friend Gloria (Norton) Medline and brother Martin Mactinger (Matthew and Jonathan), and sister in law and brother in law Shim and Sandi Liberman (Danya and Rebecca).

She will be missed by her loving nieces and nephews: Ruth Biddell (Jason, Danny, Stephanie), Paul Medline and Sue Shiller (Alex and Eli).

Countless numbers of friends, colleagues, genuine admirers will miss her and the contribution she has made to their lives.

Her work in the field of mental health has been of monumental impact and her compassion and genuine caring for others has touched the lives of thousands.

The family wishes to thank all of the doctors, nurses and staff in the University Hospital Network (and in particular at the Toronto Western Hospital over the last few weeks) who have cared and supported her and her family.
