Kay passed away peacefully on Tuesday July 28 at the age of 101.  She was the loving wife of the late Sam Davis and the very cherished mother of Sharon Levy-Cohen and her husband Larry Cohen.  As the adoring grandmother of Brian and Rachel Levy, Deborah Levy and Scott Pasternack, Joshua Cohen, Jonathan Cohen and Morissa (Missy) Cohen and four great-grandchildren- Jared Levy, Taylor Levy, Gabriella Pasternack and Harlan Pasternack she will be greatly missed.

Kay was the last surviving sibling of the eight Rogow children from Peterborough Ontario (Joe, Alex, Rose, Adeline, Esther, Sam and Ralph), and the daughter of the late Mary and Ben Rogow. As a young girl in her hometown of Peterborough she loved participating in many sports and was a competitive basketball player and synchronized swimmer.

She was a creative, independent woman who was a trailblazer for women in the next generation working throughout her life in very responsible positions in a time when most women stayed home. As well, as the treasurer of her B’nai Brith Eglinton chapter for many years and life member of Hadassah she committed herself to the importance of giving and sharing.

She loved to play bridge throughout her life, take lessons in various visual arts, attend theatre, movies and the art gallery.  She continued her love of sports being a regular bowler for her B’nai Brith league for many years and a golfer as well.

Kay had many friends and family and will be sorely missed by all who loved her dearly.

If you wish to honour her memory, a donation to Jewish Women International (JWI) https://jwi.salsalabs.org/donate or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
