It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Kitty (Katie) Cotton.

Loving devoted wife of the late Jack Cotton and mother to David (wife Karen), Sandy and Richard. Grandmother to eight wonderful grandchildren and eighteen awesome great-grandchildren. Survived by her younger brother Leslie.

Kitty was the epitome of determination and resilience and loved life to the fullest. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.

Burial Service Location: Pardes Shalom Cemetery, 10953 Dufferin St., Maple, Community 5 section

Shiva Details: 621 Sheppard Ave. East, Main Floor Assembly Hall, Toronto, M2K 0G4. Shiva visits Sunday immediately after the service till 3 p.m., and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday 7 to 9 p.m. Prayers at 7:30 p.m.

Karen Cotton

This lovely woman was my mother in law for 54 years. She was in my life for 5 years before I married David. We shared love laughter and a host of other things life throws at people. She always supported me and showed me affection no matter what. She showed me what it is to be a ‘mother by marriage’ Whenever David brought her to have Shabbat dinner with us when she was still able to come to us from Sunrise we shared stories and our history together. I will miss her and remember her as the beautiful supportive funny mother, gramma and great gramma she was. RIP Mom

So sorry to see that Kitty has passed away. I stayed at Sunrise for rehabilitation care a few years back and sat for lunch or dinner with Kitty Z'L. I was not aware that Kitty was related to Carol, who I worked with at Slavens Real Estate. Very small world. My sincere condolences to the Cotton Family. May all your sweet memories make you smile. May you have no more sorrow.

Dear Cotton Family. I got to know Kitty and Jack through my friend Sara. What a lovely couple! I had the pleasure of being included “with the SeniorSet” going to the theatre with the three of them. Kitty and I went to the same hairdresser. She was always well dressed, well groomed and had a strong sense of self. Our family is good friends with her Grandson Corey & Susan and the boys.
