Leon sent us off to our trips and welcomed home on return. Coming home will never be the same without "uncle" Leon. We are privileged to have known him. To the family, we send out sincere condolences. Peter and Sharon Birek

A wonderful man who will be missed by many; even those who didn't know him well could see how special he was. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

Leon was a lovely man and we are glad we had a chance to know him. He picked us up from our home many times with always lots of stories to share. It was always a pleasure to be in his company. Last Fall he picked us up to go to the airport on our trip to Ireland. He didn't say much about our vacation choice and wished us bon voyage. In March when we called for another request for a pick up to go to the airport Leon answered the phone and asked where we were going this time. I said we are going to Cancun, Mexico. I laughed when he said "It's a much better destination." He said he wouldn't be picking us up this time, he was not picking up people anymore, I knew why....Leon told us about his struggles with his disease...We are so sorry to hear that he has passed away and want to offer our condolences to the family. We will remember him fondly. Travelling to and from the airport will never be the same for us. Pat and David Brodie

My wife Jennifer, our daughter Raquel and I would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to the family. While you may not know us directly, Leon knew our family well from when my wife and I met over 8 years ago. He dropped by our wedding with a special Russian "cake" to celebrate. He also got to know our daughter, now 6, on the many drives to/from the airport. Leon was always very welcome in our home. We were very saddened to see him when he was not well. And saddened more now with his passing. He will be missed.

So saddened by Leon's passing. For almost 20 years, I enjoyed his jokes on the rides to and from the airport, his wisdom in life matters, and his continuous support of my career growth. Feel blessed to have spent some quality time with him in recent years and had the opportunity to visit him recently as well. Life will never be the same without him.... My condolences to Leon's wife and sons...he talked about you often...
