To the Libman Family, I never had the pleasure of meeting Len. But my husband Steve maintained all your family cars from what I know. He always spoke so well of Len and said what a nice man he was. Dear Libman and Rastin Family, We were absolutely broken to hear about Lenny's passing. Everyone loved Lenny. We met him through Victory where he would constantly share jokes and bring light to the room. I was not an employee at Victory but I remember once being in Orillia where Victory was putting on a massive firework show. The show was set up at the edge of a very large pier. I was stuck behind the caution tape since I was not a part of Victory. Lenny walked all the way down the pier (it was a GIANT pier) and spent a long time with me so that I was not alone! He then let me do a quick tour of the fireworks show, showing me how everything worked then made sure I had an amazing seat to watch it from a safe spot! My boyfriend, Eidan, is a member of Victory. When he worked there, every morning he would wake up to drive to the store. Each morning, Eidan and his brother Ori would stop at a Tim Hortons to pick up timbits to bring to the office, as a pre-emptive apology for the shenanigans they would do throughout the day. But Lenny would never touch them. Lenny made it very clear that "any other donut is UNACCEPTABLE, only strawberry is allowed!". So, every morning Ori and Eidan would drive to a Tim Hortons that was far away as it was the only Tim Hortons that carried strawberry timbits. When the Timbits made it to the office, no one would touch them but Lenny - the unspoken rule! The victory team also enjoyed a meal out at a Steakhouse to celebrate their employees. There, Eidan and Tyler Rastin decided it was a good idea to share all their food. Eidan would order a soup, and Tyler would order a salad. Eidan then spoon-fed Tyler parts of his soup as Tyler did the same with his salad. When Lenny caught on to this, he started laughing, watching them with amusement. Then, their large steak arrived, which was cooked at the table in front of them. As it was served, Tyler cut the steak up, put a large piece on his fork, and fed it to Eidan. Lenny LOST it, laughing so hard the entire restaurant was watching. We have so many stories about this amazing gentleman. He truly touched everyone’s hearts, always making them laugh and keeping others happy. He was a joy-bringer with his sunny disposition. I cannot imagine Victory without him. 74 years ago my Mom met Benny when he arrived in Canada and our families have been lifelong friends, with a bond closer than most families. I considered Lenny a brother, we shared many great times, and I will miss him terribly. My condolences to his family and many friends, may his memory be a blessing.

My heart goes out to the Libman family and everyone mourning this loss. I have had the privilege of being friends with Sara and Jake for a few years now, and it was apparent how much they loved him and how much he loved them in return. Lenny, thank you for raising a wonderful man like Jake and for fully embracing Sara as your daughter. Despite only meeting him a few times, he left a big impression with his sunny demeanor and bright smile. He was absolutely wonderful to my shy toddler when the two met, and we were the lucky recipients of one his Who is the Real Santa Claus books. We have read it to our son for the past two Christmases and will for many more years in the future. We will think of Santa Len each time.

I remember him as the little brother of Jonah, from our Chomedey UTT days, but what I didn't know, was that he had reconnected with our younger brother, Stanley z'l , through Facebook, and they shared a fun and great bond, especially regarding the Montreal Canadiens . When we lost Stanley, Lenny reached out to us, and his kindness was very comforting to the Smith family. I "friended" Lenny afterwards, and enjoyed seeing pictures of the family, and remaining in touch. Those Chomedey bonds are very special. Please know that you are in our thoughts.
