It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Leonard Usher. Beloved husband of the late Bernice. Caring father of Marshall and Ivanka, Francine and Tom, Joel and Amelia, and Cory and Tommasina. Cherished grandfather of Sarah, Julia, Jason, Sheena, Daniel, Amanda, Tiffany, and Jonathan. Dear uncle to Lily and Joyce. He will be greatly missed and remembered by all his family and many friends. Memorial donations may be made to the Charity of choice.

Date of Funeral: Monday, April 5, 2021

I am so sorry to learn about Len's death. I will try and watch it remotely. I remember Len as a true family man interested in the welfare of not only his family but also other members of a large extended family. Len and Butch tried so hard to join my family for simchas here in the Rochester area. Now he is free of the ravages of age. May his memory be for a blessing. i was very saddened with the passing of uncle len, i have many vivid memories of being the usher house, it was never boring there for sure.he was a devoted father , everyone watching tv in the bedroom, always room for more.a great husband, aunt butch and he went through many trials together. rest in peae together love donna

We were so fortunate to have had the opportunity to have many chats and meals with him and your Auntie Gwen at Amica. Uncle Len always seemed so happy to see us and we will miss his warm smile. Cousins Marshall, Cory, Joel, Francine and your respective families. After learning of Uncle Len's passing, memories of your family came to mind. I remembered when we were all very young, when all the cousins playing together at annual picnics at Downsview Dells. I always made a point of saying hi to him if I saw him in Amica's dining room. He was always warm and welcoming. When I saw him last, he was part of a group learning to play Bridge! May his memory be a blessing to you all.

To our Usher and Alter Cousins, Ronnie and I first met you when we were all younger people, as members of the Alter Cousins Club, and we had picnics. My late parents, Pearl (Alter)zl and Nat Goodman zl brought us in when we were likely newly weds. I remember that you were actually children at that time. I remember meeting all of the parents, and we are still friends today with Chuck and Loretta. The last time we were together was for shiva for Butch z'l. We last met her at the supermarket when we were both grocery shopping. She has now welcomed your dad to come and join her in Gan Eden. May all of your happy memories over the many years bring you a large measure of comfort. May your mom, and now your dad also, have aliyot in Gan Eden.
