LETITCHEVER, Leonid – Passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2025 at Mackenzie Health Hospital. Leon Letitchever, beloved husband of Irina Poliakova, and the late Sophia Letitchever. Loving father of Roman Letitchever. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Dina and the late Michael Letitchever. Devoted uncle of Edward and Marina Letitchever, and Gary Letitchever. Cherished cousin of Michael Elinson, Alex Elinson, Rubin Fishman, Michael Fishman, David Saktser, Isaac Saktser, Leon Goldenberg, and Svetlana Letitchever. He was born in Chisinau, Moldova January 2, 1951. He was a graduate of Chisinau Agricultural Institute, specializing in design and manufacturing of agricultural machinary. He worked at the Chisinau Tractor Manufacturing Factory as an engineer, where he was respected by his peers. Leon excelled in sports, particularily, Table Tennis. He won several championships at the Moldova Table Tennis Association. Leon and his extended family immigrated to Canada in 1991 where he succesfully rebuilt his new life. Leon was proud of his family roots. He was a devoted son, of the late Rachmiel and Esther Letitchever. He was a man of principle and a reliable friend. We are praying for the eternal peace of Leons’ soul.
