VERRALL, Lesley – Suddenly on Monday, April 25, 2016 at her home. Lesley Verrall, beloved wife of Michael Turk. Cherished mother of Justin. Loving daughter of Olga and the late Orland. Dear sister of Judy. A kind and caring soul taken too soon who will be missed by all who knew her. Memorial donations may be made to the North York Women’s Shelter at nyws.ca, or Dog Tales Rescue and Sanctuary at dogtales.ca.

Dear Justin and Michael, Thinking back to Heschel School days, I was reminiscing about what a wonderfully kind, involved, caring and loving parent and wife your dear Mom/Wife - Lesley, z'l, was to you both. I remember the great sports-themed birthday party that was planned for Justin, and Harrison had such a great time playing with Justin and his Heschel school mates. I remember speaking with Lesley about her love of animals. She always carried such a great attitude and character. I was terribly sorry to find out this morning that Lesley had passed away. Lesley and I met at Mount Sinai Hospital back in early 1980's. We formed a warm professional relationship. Lesley worked in Finance and I worked in the IT department. Later on, when I joined the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI) I recruited Lesley to work with me in a management position. Lesley was a very competent financial professional. Everyone who worked with her will always remember her humanity and kindness, her enthusiasm and optimism. A great loss.
