If Judaism had saints, Lily would be among them. While in Montreal Lily helped thousands of people, mostly new immigrants and refugees. After a full day's work at Pratt and Whitney as an engineer, Lily answered phone calls for help until midnight. Then she called me and many others at the Action Committee for Soviet Jewry to help her solve those problems. Lily had no boundaries to her love. Her kindness to family, friends and anyone who needed help here in Canada and before that in the Soviet Union was extraordinary. She had also helped take care of her elderly ailing parents and mother-in-law and later her late husband Archie but in the last five or so years, Lily was not rewarded, which is not unlike the fate of saints. My condolence to Jacob , Ella and all family !
Lilian and Adik were the first people we meet in Montreal in 1976. Lili was an exceptional person who was helping to anybody and with any problems. She never was thinking about her time and energy but about everybody who in needs
her help.
We all will miss her. Let her be finally in peace !
