Message of Condolence

Susan Silberzweig-Korman
Extending my deepest sympathy to your family on the loss of Lionel. Sending you comfort, peace, & prayers during this difficult time. Remember the happy memories to help soothe your grief & mourning. My late-mother (Eileen Gotkin-Silberzweig) was a cousin of Betty & Ralph. Eileen was the daughter of the late Henry (Chuna) Gotkin (brother of Lazer, Hymie, & Mendel). May God comfort you among the other mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.

Paul,I just read about the passing of your beloved brother Lionel. You were a loving brother who made sure Lionel was taken care of all these years. Many years ago the last time we met for breakfast, (when you came in from Florida,) I asked about Lionel and you told me how you were going to make sure he was well taken care. It showed me the kind of Mensch you were. May you be comforted by the wonderful memories of your childhood together on Wigan Crescent.

Paul, I have known you and your family since the summer of 1972. My earliest meeting with Lionel was of him sitting on the front porch, next to your dad. Marilyn and I only wish that you can remember better days and years with Lionel. May you be comforted together with all the mourners in Zion and Jerusalem. May peace and good health follow you and your family during these difficult days.

Although it’s been many many years since we were in touch … you likely don’t even remember me. My parents were Bessie & Mendel who was a brother to your grandfather We have fond memories of your grandparents Lazer and Leah and visit their graves when we go to the cemetery. Paul, through family members we have heard of your commitment and caring for your Brother Lionel. May his memory be a blessing. We are saddened to hear of his passing.

Paul, my deepest condolences on the loss of your brother. I have vivid memories of chasing butterflies in the field at the end of Wigan Crescent with Lionel when I was a little girl. He had such an amazing butterfly collection. My mother, Helen Kurtz, and I are saddened by this news.
