Dear Carol We were so very sad to learn of the passing of Lorne. He was a most fine gentleman and bright scholar. His company was always a pure delight. My Masonic friendship was truly inspirational and at the same time educational. A man of deep conviction and academic excellence. May his memory be a blessing.

My deepest condolences to Donna, Lorne’s loving sister,my dearest and oldest friend of Boynton Beach. As friends my brother Shelly and I spent many wonderful and loving years playing together when we were young, and remained friends ever since. We had many good times at his parents place where I would bring my children and he would bring his daughters. May you be comforted in knowing that he is now reunited with his loving parents Faye and Moishe who have been waiting a long time to be together again. He was a brilliant man, lawyer, judge, and friend. May his memory be a blessing.

Dear Carol, Amy, & Janelle. Although I haven’t seen you, Carol, or Lorne for many years, learning of Lorne's passing triggered a flood of happy memories about the many years when the three of us were in contact quite often. I always enjoyed our conversations, and appreciated how gracious and welcoming you both were. Lorne's intellect always stood out. He had a gift for academics, which included Judaic studies and learning Arabic (I still remember the few interesting words he taught me), or about the law in general, and in the transportation field specifically. He was much more serious about our religion than I was. I can’t recall the circumstances or how it came about that, when I was in my late teens, and Lorne being seven years senior, he invited me one Sunday afternoon to join him downtown at U of T's Hart House for a swim. I've often found it’s these small acts of generosity and kindness that become etched in our memory. I respected his belief in the importance of doing service for others, with no expectation of receiving anything in return. Dear Carol, Amy and Janelle For many years when Moishe, Faye, Lorne and Donna joined our family in Rochester we were very close. This closeness continued when my parents moved to Florida for health reasons. I do remember that Lorne was bright and deeply interested in academics. May his interests be passed on to a new generation. My family joins me in sending our deepest sympathy. May his memory be for a blessing.
