Dear Ubbie and family my deepest sympathy on the loss of Lorraine. The memories of this lovely lady goes back many years to times shared in Belle Ewart and events at the Murray House. My parents Eileen and Artie Britt ZL' were good friends and bowling buddies. Getting a Minyan on Wiskers in the summer always amazed my dad. Dear Aubish, Andi, Cheryl, Michael and family, Riva and I send our deepest and most heartfelt condolences on Lorraine’s (z”l) passing. My memories of Lorraine run long and deep, back to 1968 when you moved to Sandale. For many years there were weeks at a time where I literally would spend more time in your house than in my own. When I start to think about it the memories start to flow: carpooling to Hebrew School at Beth Emeth 5 days a week for years, Christmas vacations in Florida (1st at the Nautilus and then in Hallandale), working at The Murray House and countless meals in your kitchen. Lorraine was the ultimate hostess and I was always welcomed into your home as well as being invited to many, many family functions. I truly felt like I was a member of the Himmel family! Lorraine was always so lovely and welcoming. My last memory of Lorraine was sitting with her for over an hour at Service Ontario about 2 years ago, waiting to renew our respective licenses. The time past so quickly as we chatted and got caught up on our families. Every year before Rosh HaShanah and before Passover Lorraine and my mom would speak on the phone and catch up. My mom would call me immediately after each call and tell me that Lorraine asked about us and sends warm regards. Dear Aubish: My deepest condolences go out to you and your family on the passing of your dear wife, Lorraine. She was a wonderful lady. I still remember her presence at the Murray House where she was always checking to see that everything was up to snuff at whatever function I was at. I also remember her presence at any LMOL lodge meetings where food was involved. One could always expect to see her helping out the other ladies behind the table serving up any food, and of course we were neighbours in Hallandale Beach, Fla. during the winter months.

To Aubish and the Himmel family. we were so sad to hear of Lorraines passing-what a sweet and caring woman! We spent many afternoos outside outside in our park recalling all the people that we both knew.We will both miss you.
