Lynn Sharon Delmar (nee Boidman) passed away peacefully on June 24, 2021 at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre at the age of 74 years old. As was the case throughout her entire life, in her final days she was surrounded from both near and far with immeasurable love from her family.

Lynn was the beloved daughter of George and Rose Boidman (Z”L), cherished sister and sister-in-law of Nat and Dale Boidman, and the most devoted mother to all of her children, Dina and Ilan Acoca, Haim and Liron Delmar, Mordechai and Rochel Delmar, and Elise and Scott Goldberg. Of utmost importance to her in life, as well as her continued legacy, is being the best Bubby to her seventeen special grandchildren; Shoshana Rachel (Aviv), Meir Yaacov (Ruth), Hodaya Simcha, Anael Myriam, Nissim Shalom, Keren Zeev, Shmuel Moshe, Menachem Tzvi, Shoshana Miriam, Yehuda Gershon, Shoshana Raizel, Chaya Sara, Yisroel Meir, Bracha Malka, Esther Leeba, Matthew, and Maya, and her two precious great grandchildren: Yael Simcha and Meir Yaacov. She was a cherished Auntie Lynn to her many nieces and nephews who all loved her so dearly.

Lynn, also affectionately known by so many as ‘Mrs. D.’, had the unique gift of creating and sharing deep connections and meaningful relationships with everyone she encountered. No matter the circumstance, laughter and joy was always the best medicine. She carried herself with a beautiful smile everywhere she went, always focusing on the positive, and knew confidently that the simplest things in life can easily bring “sunshine and roses”. We all know that Mrs. D. could always find the BEST books, shows and movies, taste the BEST chicken, and have the BEST friends to surround her with happiness. She was not one for missed opportunities. Our Mommy took every single opportunity presented to her to do a special mitzvah, thank Hashem for all of her blessings and gifts, and to create moments of laughter and meaningful connection with family, friends and strangers alike.

When it came to family, our mother was a true Matriarch, the glue that keeps us together, the epicenter of our love. She maintained the firm belief that fierce love above all else would prevail, and create the lasting bright light that will emanate from her sweet, kind neshama always. True to the incredible legacy she has created, she has left us with a bright torch for all of us to carry in her honour.

We love you Mommy and Lynnie so so much, to the moon and back.

The family would like to express our most heartfelt thanks to the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre Critical Care Unit for the incredibly skilled and compassionate care she received, and to all of the many special health care providers who supported her and kept her healthy for us along her life journey.
