Marianna Milkis

Mrs. Milkis was my childhood piano teacher. She was dedicated, patient, and kind, a truly wonderful human being who taught me a lot about grace and goodness. Many times in adulthood after getting married and having children, I hoped to visit her when I visited my parents in Toronto to tell her what I was up to, as a parent and as a professor, but there seemed never to be time. I truly wish I had had a chance to tell her how much I appreciated her and all she did for me with her example of kindness and true caring. Thank you, Mrs. Milkis, for your love of music and your gracious spirit!
