Segal, Marie. Passed away suddenly on Monday, August 4, 2008 at 87 years of age. Born in London, England on March 5, 1921, Marie was the eldest daughter of Kitty and Abraham Goldapper. Beloved wife of Gerald Segal for over 65 years. Sister and sister-in-law of Sylvia Chris and the late Dr. Milton Chris, and the late Helen Fehric and Musti Fehric. Devoted mother of Nadine and Leslie (Sylvia). Proud grandmother of John, Robert, and Jane.rnMarie served her country in war-time in the ATS, became a war bride, and emigrated to Canada with Gerald in 1945. In addition to being a wife, mother, and homemaker Marie had a successful bookkeeping career outside the home with various public and private organizations. rnMany thanks to Vilma, Tenzin and Junta, and all the wonderful staff at Sunrise of Richmond Hill for the care and support that they gave Marie for the last three years.rnA graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Pardes Shalom Cemetery, Community 5 section. Shiva to be observed at 46 Lambert Road, Thornhill from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, August 6th and Thursday, August 7th.
