It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Marilyn Barbara Cohen after a courageous battle.

Marilyn, cherished daughter of the late Sol A”H and Cynthia Weinberg. Beloved daughter-in-law of the late Morris A”H and Helen Cohen.

Adored mother of Alyssa Brooke Hadassah and the beshert and best friend of Neil Jeffrey.

Loving sister of Michael (Danielle) and Paul (Susie) and the late Janice, and sister-in-law of Gayle (Perry) Glazier.

Special niece of Alan (Ileen) Nelson and niece to the many late brothers and sisters of Sol A”H.

Loving aunt of Jordan (Laura) Glazier and Shelby (Mike) Levine and the late Derek Glazier A”H, and Sam and Erica Weinberg. Much loved great-aunt of Daphne, Spencer, and Edie.

Special friend of Erik and Lynda Lisscio, and special “niece” of Izzy (Harry) Lazarus.

Loved and admired by many.

We would like to acknowledge the help and support of so many during this time, in particular PSW Becca, Nurse Alla, Leanne Ruderman of JF&CS, and the amazing people of Gilda’s Club of Toronto, and the staff of Mackenzie Health Hospital’s Chemotherapy and Palliative Care Units.

The size of Marilyn’s love and warmth was only exceeded by her kindness (and enjoyment of the Toronto Blue Jays).

In lieu of shiva gifts, an act of of Ahavat Chessed (loving kindness) to another would be sincerely appreciated.

Donations to Gilda’s Club of Toronto (https://www.gildasclubtoronto.org/) or to Shaarei Tefillah Synagogue (https://www.shaareitefillah.com/) would be most welcomed.

The world lost a beautiful person. To us, we lost the world.
