Marilyn Charlotte Stuhl, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2025, in Toronto. Born on April 5, 1937, in Toronto, Marilyn leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, intelligence, and determination that will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved her.

Marilyn is survived by her loving son, David Stuhl, her devoted daughter, Debra Burstein, and her caring son-in-law, Mory Burstein. She will also be deeply missed by her cherished grandchildren, Brandon, Alexa, and Tyler Burstein, as well as her son David’s partner, Hejin Han. Marilyn’s presence in their lives brought immeasurable joy and love, and her memory will continue to live on in their hearts.

Throughout her life, Marilyn touched the lives of many, and her passing is deeply felt by those who had the privilege of knowing her. A single mother successfully raising two children.  Her strength and resilience were an inspiration to all who crossed her path, and her kindness and compassion knew no bounds. Marilyn’s intelligence and determination were evident in everything she pursued; her unwavering spirit will forever be remembered by those who were fortunate enough to have her in their lives.

In her final days, Marilyn was surrounded by her loving family, finding comfort and solace in their presence. The love and support she received from her son, daughter, son-in-law, grandchildren, and David’s partner, as well as the dedicated personal support workers, Emily Fernandez and Kimberly Mesa, and the compassionate nurses Teresa, Winsome, Earl, and Maru at Downsview LTC, provided her with the peace and care she deserved.

A funeral service to honour Marilyn’s life was held on July 6, 2025, provided an opportunity for family and friends to come together to celebrate her remarkable life and the impact she had on all who knew her.

Marilyn Charlotte Stuhl will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, strength, and kindness will continue to inspire and uplift those whose lives she touched. May she rest in eternal peace, knowing that her memory will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to have her in their lives.
