It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Marina Seifer-Zalts on Saturday, February 5th. She was a bright light in this world – a beautiful and gentle soul who was loved by everyone that knew her.

Daughter of the late Abram and Berta Soroka, sister of Roman Soroka, devoted wife of Michael Zalts, adored mother of Ilya Seifer (Andrea), and proud step-mother of Polina Liapov (Vladimir). She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Benjamin, Matthew, Natalie, Katia and Nikolas who adored her. Marina was the happiest when she was surrounded by her family, especially her grandchildren. Her friends were also very important to her and she was always there to assist anyone in need.

Memorial donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation (Donate Here) or the Jewish Russian Community Centre (Donate Here) in Marina’s name. Private ceremony and Shiva will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 8th.
