A funeral service to honor the life of Marion Waldman, a beloved matriarch, will be held on Thursday, November 21st at 11:00 AM at Steeles West Chapel.

Marion was a woman of extraordinary kindness and grace, with an amazing sense of humor. She touched the lives of all who knew her, leaving a lasting impression of love, compassion, and joy. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her children Paula and Moshe Mizrachi, Lynn and Brahm Silverstone, and Binem Waldman, and her sister Ferne Desenhouse. She was a cherished grandmother to seven grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Immediately after the service on Thursday friends and family are invited to 481 Coldstream Ave., Toronto, M5N 1Y6 till 3 p.m., and 6 to 9 p.m.; Friday 1 to 3 p.m.; Saturday – 6 to 9 p.m.; Sunday through Tuesday 1 to 4 p.m., and 6 to 9 p.m. Evening prayers Thursday, Saturday Sunday, Monday and Tuesday at 7 p.m. Shiva concludes Wednesday morning.

To Lynn, Paul, Binem, and families. Marion was such a lovely, warm woman. I grew up on Joicey and was close friends with Brian. I loved visiting 312 Joicey. Marion gave me a beautiful photo of my parents at a party there when I visited her a few years ago.I cherish the photo as I cherished my times at the house. May her memory be for a blessing. A gentle soul.

As a child sitting at her kitchen table, as a young married woman listening to her sage advice, as an older woman in awe of her strength, her kindness and her wonderful sense of humour. I grew up on Joicey Blvd from the age of ten and was very close friends with Brian until his passing. We used to live a few doors from each other. Even after Brian’s passing Mrs Waldman would invite me over for dinner every once in a while. I always loved our conversations. May her memory be a blessing.

Listening to her nasal laugh when telling us jokes after a long high school day in the Bombay kitchen as well as listening to Pula's stories over the years and quoting her wise words - always with laughter.
