Mark Shmorgun, age 79, passed away Saturday, December 21st after bravely battling cancer. He served in both the Russian and Israeli militaries before moving his family to Canada in 1981. He had a strong love for all of the Toronto sports team, especially the Leafs. But there was nothing he loved more than his family. He was a dedicated husband to Yevgenia, a loving father to Ziva and Doron, and was incredibly loved by his four granddaughters- Summer, Abby, Mia, and Joey. Eldest of his three brothers (Felix, Boris, and Edward), he was the true leader of the Shmorgun family. He will be forever remembered for his bravery, beautiful heart, and unwavering dedication to his family.
