My condolences on Marshall's passing. Our homes, growing up, were around the corner from each other. He lived on Sandringham, and I lived on Armour Blvd. My sincere condolences to all.

I first met Marshall over 50 years ago. He was a kind, sensitive and honest person. He loved dogs absolutely. Visited my dad's BP gas station after school often and years later we spoke often about life and strife. I visited him at the place on Lakeshore and tried always to keep him in a positive state of mind. Upon hearing of his passing i was shocked and saddened. Marshall was truly an Angel and I am comforted that he is at peace now. The world has lost much upon his passing . We often realize too late the importance of who is important and why. Thank you Marshall for always being you. G-d bless.

My sincere condolences to family & friends, especially Mariah & Avery. Marshall, my other brother. I know you are at peace now. Know you are loved, know that we care, only because you showed your caring so implacably. I will miss the calls, the jokes, the part of you that remembers that part of me from a childhood we shared. I know you will be greeted by Major, and that when you settle in you will get to spend as much time as you like in conversation, reading, free and without pain & sorrow. A part of me is gone. A part only you could provide remains. You cared, and you never failed to demonstrate that caring to all you met, whether on four legs or on two. Rest well, Marshall. Til we meet again. I am deeply saddened and shocked to hear of Marshall's passing. I first met Marshall at the University of Guelph where we were both students over 25 years ago. He was kind, considerate, polite, giving, and a true gentleman. He has always been true to his nature all the years that I have known him, and with his many years of volunteerism and many friends that he had met, this world is a better place for him having been here. He had a big heart, a fantastic sense of humor, and loved a good joke. He always looked forward to spending time with his daughter Mariah, and his grandson Avery, of which he adored. I will miss the long heartfelt chats, and simple outlook on life. He never asked for much in life, and gave so much more. God Bless you Marshall, and may you rest in peace in the presence of our good Lord. Thanks for being in my life. Love you, your friend always, Grace Place

We have known Marshall for over 30 years, having first met when he was a student at the University of Guelph and we were living in Guelph. Of late, we would see him once a year at the Pesakh seder held in the Miles Nadal JCC on Spadina at Bloor. But we would get the odd phone call or e-mail from him in between times. We are very shocked and deeply saddened by his passing - it seems so sudden, and we have no understanding as to what happened to him. Marshall was a "gite neshome", an angel on earth, a mensch, someone who bridged the world around us with the world as it should be. His life was filled with great trials and hardships and also with great joys and wonders. May all of us who knew him reflect on his passing with sadness and with (as Marshall would expect of us) the happiness of having known him.

My mother was the maid of honour at Marshall's parents wedding. The families were close as I was growing up but lost touch when our parents died. Rest In Peace

I remember meeting Marshall when I drove his and my mother on Wednesdays to volunteer at Baycrest years ago. Like his mom he was very warm and friendly. I understand he also was a volunteer in the community. May he rest in peace.
