GENAH, MARTIN, MEYER, died peacefully, at the age of 69, with family at his bedside on Thursday, February 1, 2024. Loving and devoted father to Jason, Aimee, Tyler, Kailee and his dog Charlie. Cherished son of Balfour and the late Rosa ז״ל. Dear brother of Ely and Ben.
Cherished uncle to Mandi, Nicole, Justin and Danny.

His spirit and legacy will live on forever.
We love you dad.

Time of Funeral: 2:00 PM

Memorial Service Location: Chapel Service - Steeles Memorial Chapel - 350 Steeles Ave W, Thornhill, ON L4J 6X6

Burial Service Location: Pardes Chaim Cemetery - Community Section - 11818 Bathurst St, Maple, ON L6A 1S2

Shiva Details: Friends and family are invited back to the residence following the burial at the cemetery. Shiva will be observed daily from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Evening services will be held daily at 7:00 p.m. Shiva concludes Thursday evening, February 8th.

At one point in my life Marty was like a second dad to me. Me and Jason became close friends in our early youth. Marty used to pick us up from school, take us to get burgers, and then would take us to the dollar store. He’d get us whatever we wanted. We would go to the ravine for adventures with the toys we got. When I think back all I can remember are lots of laughs. These moments have forever stuck with me. Marty’s humour, generosity, strength and resilience was always present and inspired me to be a better person from a young age. I’m forever grateful. Sending my love to Jason, Aimee, Tyler, Kailee. ❤️

I knew Meyer since cheder and junior high. He was a giant of a man with a quiet caring nature. He was sincerely interested in everyone and very good hearted. I saw him last year in a van outside Pancers, probably hadn't seen him for over 5o years and I told him I was very sick. His genuineess shone through and I am very sorry for his demise. He came to Canada from Israel at a young age. I'm sure he didn't have the best time of it,he never complained. I'm very sad regarding Meyer,may he rest in peace. My utmost condolences to his cousin Jack. You were a good guy Meyer, a handsome man. I remember you like your picture. Lehitroot Meyer.

Sorry to hear this sad news, I go way back to the early 70’s with Marty, we lived a few doors away from each other on Deloraine. We also played together in the same band, Marty played organ I was the drummer. I ran into him around 15 years ago, we had a chuckle, we had a lot of great memories.

We are so heartbroken by Marty's sudden passing. Marty was a real Mench, someone you could always count on to help however he could. A compassionate and caring man. My condolences to all his children. and family. I will miss his beautiful smile and laugh, so full of life, now no more. I will remember you with fondness and love. Sorry, we are in Florida and can not be there but my heart is! I am truly heartbroken.
